Apprentice Child-minding Assistant
£3.40 per hour.
30 - 40 hours per week including paid college time.
You will work alongside an established child-minder offering care and learning opportunities for children aged 0-12 years. You will assist with day to day routines, key working a small group of children (including keeping observations, assessments and developmental folders up to date to ensure children are making progress, and planning activities to support children's learning.) You will also accompany the child-minder on trips and visits outside the setting.
Childcare qualification studied for alongside the working role. College training, equivalent to one day per week.
Applicants must be physically fit, enjoy working with children of all ages, reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and willing to learn. Applicants must be literate and numerate for this role (with a good understanding of spoken and written English). Applicants must have reliable transport and a good attendance track record.
To gain experience of working in a home based childcare setting alongside and established and Ofsted rated 'outstanding' child-minder.
Successful candidate will need an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
