Healthcare Support Worker

£15,251 to £17,978 pro rata, per annum.

Full Time 37.5 hours per week.

Job Description:

You will be working for a large hospital in Cambridge and they are looking for enthusiastic, conscientious, hardworking staff to complement their theatre scrub team. It will be your responsibility to collect patients from the ward and escort them to the operating theatre. You will be expected to help the scrub nurse in preparing for the operating list, clean the theatre between cases, and maintain stock levels. You will also complete competency packages relevant to your clinical area as well as undertaking the Care Certificate.

Training:

As a HCSW, you will complete a 10 day Clinical Support Staff Induction Programme (CSSIP), undertake the National Care Certificate (NCC) and a Vocational Qualification in Healthcare. All of which provide you with the clinical skills, knowledge and competence to deliver excellent care to their patients. Equivalent to one day a week training.

Qualifications:

Previous experience is not required as training will be provided to enable you to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake the role.
