The Kids Are Alright
The Kids Are Alright is a multi award-winning, youth stereotype-busting campaign conquering hearts and minds across the country.
Piloted in Cambridgeshire and now taking off in other parts of the country, The Kids Are Alright promotes positive images of young people in the media and invites residents to nominate children and teens doing great things for awards.
The multi-agency newspaper campaign won Best Communication in Youth Justice 2009 as well as scooping Community Campaign of the Year at the EDF Energy East of England Media Awards 2009.
The campaign team have developed a toolkit to share their winning formula with other areas free of charge.
Called The Kids Are Alright Challenge, the toolkit provides everything you need to set up a Kids Are Alright campaign in your area.
The toolkit is a call to action for youth groups, local authorities, voluntary organisations and other groups across the country wishing to promote positive youth images and challenge negative stereotypes.
