Wasted film premier

 

Last night a talented group of young actors from the JUNK theatre group presented their recently completed film WASTED to an audience in the Arts Picture House Cambridge.

 

 

WASTED was made in conjunction with Peter Harmer, Fire and Rescue, Road Traffic police, Ambulance service, Junction, Sawston and Linton and Cottenham and Swavesey locality, Comberton and Bassingbourn, DAAT (drug and alcohol team, PSHE Service, Teenage pregnancy team, Domestic Violence team.

The film follows the experience of one young girl and her journey with alcohol, relationships, sexual heath and the consequences of the choices she makes.

The audience made up of local dignitaries, representatives from the emergency services and officers from young people’s services commended the young actors for what they achieved.

Cllr Martin Curtis said “The filming and acting was amazing. This production is going to be a very useful tool in educating young people throughout the county”.
