Music fun in Emneth

Last week some of the members from the Jammin’ Youth Project were lucky enough to visit the Grange Farm Recording Studio in Emneth. Here, they were able to record a song that they have been practising for the past few weeks during the youth work sessions.

The young people were supported by the youth work staff and Isi Clarke, the house engineer. Amber Crawshawe, Lead Youth Worker said, ‘Isi has been really kind in giving the young people this opportunity, they had never been in a recording studio before and really enjoyed it, so much so some have asked about returning. We will now be looking at some more fundraising ideas to allow more young people to visit in the future. Any donations are always greatly appreciated.’

The Jammin’ Youth Project is held at the Queen Mary Centre, every Tuesday, 5.30-7.00pm. Young people with any musical interest or talent between the age of 10-19 welcome, 50p a session. Contact Amber for more information 01945 582438 / amber.crawshawe@crambridgeshire.gov.uk
