National Citizen Service - Graduation for Huntingdon

45 young people took part in an exciting project over their summer holidays. The participants got to go to wales for a week  and take part in lots of exciting activities such as climbing caving and gorge walking, the group then returned home and completed a second residential where they learnt new skills such as first aid, and food hygiene.

As part of the programme the young people then had to do a project to benefit the local community the group raised around a £1000 for good causes in Huntingdonshire, by completing challenges which included 24 hour cycling relays, fun days, bake sales and leg waxing.

The pictures show the groups receiving their awards, which include a certificate from the prime minister, and speaking about their NCS Experience at the graduation ceremony
