Free Counselling Sessions

The YMCA offers a free and confidential one-to-one counselling service for young people aged between 13 and 25 in the Peterborough, Huntingdonshire and Fenland areas. Counselling sessions are available in Huntingdon, St Neots, Wisbech, March, and Whittlesey.

You will have an appointment with the same counsellor, at the same time
and place every week.

You will receive free 50 minutes of one to one time with a counsellor, initially you will be offered six sessions which can be extended if necessary.

Counselling can help if you......

  • Need help with anxiety or depression
  • Have relationship problems
  • Are confused about your sexuality or identity
  • Want help to manage your anger
  • Are experiencing bullying or abuse
  • Struggle with changes in life

Or if you need to talk to someone about something and feel like there's no-one to turn to.

Imagine what a difference it would make to talk to someone who doesn’t know you but cares about you? There’d be no judging or criticising and no surprise at anything you had to say.

If you would like to contact the Counselling Service please contact the Counselling Guidance Coordinator on 01733 373170 or email counselling@theymca.org.uk

The YMCA Counselling Service is completely confidetial and they do not share (any) information with anyone outside the counselling agency, unless in very rare cases if a person’s welfare or safety is at risk.
