Would You Like to Become a Fire Fighter?

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is recruiting wholetime firefighters.

If you are aged 18+ and are interested in becoming a full-time firefighter you will need to register online at www.cambsfire.gov.uk and book a place on one of the upcoming information events. 

Registration opens at 10:00AM on January 29th, 2018 and will stay open until midnight on March 8th, 2018 – the day before the last information event, or until all places have been booked.


Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service (CFRS) is excited to announce that it will be recruiting for full-time firefighters to join fire stations across the county at the end of the month.

IMPORTANT - To Register:

Candidates will be required to attend one of the eight information events in order to gain access to the online application process. Details of the information events and how to apply are on the Service’s website.

Requirements

As well as attending an information event, interested candidates will have to undertake a thorough assessment process, including physical assessments and fitness and written tests.  You must also:

  • Candidates must permanently reside within 10 miles of the boundary of the county of Cambridgeshire
  • Be 18 on or before May 6th, 2018, have five or more GCSEs A* - C (or equivalent), including Maths and English Language,
  • Be able to swim,
  • Hold a full UK driving licence without restrictions and not be subject to any unspent criminal convictions.
