This free training course offers insight to the construction world as a career pathway.

On the day you will be able to ask questions, explore routes of entry, receive information on courses and qualifications and choose the next step for you.

This course is open to anyone looking for work, considering a career change or just wanting more information on what working in construction looks like.

EDGE aim to ensure all students step foot onto a live construction site to gain insight and experience of the industry.

Outcomes:

You will gain an understanding of how to tap into your own skills and experience to kickstart a career in the construction industry by:

  • Practicing methods to improve your confidence
  • Learning the key elements of a CV
  • Understanding when and how to create cover letters and complete application forms
  • Discussing and practicing industry standard interview questions
