Events Crew 16 plus




Outside of Area


Under 18 is £5.55 per hour, 18 and over is £6.95 per hour.


Part time, temporary contract with a minimum of 20 hours a week and a max of 40 hours a week for June, July and August. This would vary depending on the Event or Festival in question. Hours would be discussed at interview.



Job Description:

This Event & Festival Contractor, supplies services such as traffic management, litter & recycling, stewarding and all staffing solutions. They provide their services to various Events & Festivals across the UK including charity events, corporate events to Glastonbury, Leeds & Reading, Boomtown and V Festival. Roles are dependent on the Event or Festival in question, but it is the applicant's choice as to which they wish to apply for. Litter Picking/Waste Management Operative - Change the bags in full wheelie bins and remove to waste compound - Litter pick ground/seating areas - Empty large back of house bins - Sort general waste from recyclable materials hazards or issues and report to your supervisor. Event Cleaner - Cleaning of surfaces, windows and furniture - Vacuuming of carpets and mopping/sweeping hard floors - Clearance of rubbish/waste - Any other reasonable cleaning duties. Toilet Attendant - Ensure consumables (toilet rolls, soap etc.) are kept well stocked - Clean sinks, mirrors, toilets where appropriate - Mop floors - Clean down all units at the end of each working day.


No experience is required, all training and briefings are provided onsite before commencing work at each event or festival.


Essential requirements for applicants: Good spoken English, basic written English, good work ethic, can be trusted to work unsupervised for short periods of time and be prepared to work for long periods of time away from home. Desirable Requirements for Applicants: Experience working in the event industry or commercial cleaning. You must also have a flexible approach to work across the teams at each event or festival.


This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an events role. Mostly all the company management began as regular Event crew. There is always scope to advance in the company once you have the relevant experience.

Additional Information:

While not working you will have full, free access to the Event or Festival in question. You will also benefit from private camping facilities (though you will need to bring your own camping equipment), private shower and toilet facilities and food is usually provided while working. If the applicant is local to Whittlesey then transport to and from the Event or Festival can be provided if discussed with the office ahead of time.
