£8.34 - £9.09 per hour according to experience and training. This is above the living wage.

Hours:

Full time, part time and casual positions available.

Ages:

18+, under the Care Standards Act 2000.

Job Description:

This local charity supports people of all ages with a learning disability across Cambridgeshire. They help service users in all aspects of their daily lives by respecting and valuing their personal choices and decisions and therefore helping them to become equal and active members of the community.

Training:

Free In-House training. Opportunity to gain Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Equivalent to one day per week.

Qualifications:

You will need to have a good basic education, be literate and numerate and be willing to undertake further relevant training. You should have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to use your own initiative, as well as having a caring attitude and being able to work as part of a team. For some of their clients you will have to cook for them, so knowledge of how to cook is essential.

Prospects:

To gain experience in a caring profession.
