Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and really make a difference as a Children's Session Play Worker. Their groups cater for young people with autistic spectrum conditions and other learning and physical disabilities. The age of the children and young people ranges from 5-19 years. They meet on a Saturday, there is an option to work every Saturday or on alternate weekends. As a session worker you will be required to participate fully in delivering a varied and stimulating programme geared to the needs of the Children and Young People, working alongside other session workers and a Group Leader, the usual staff to young person ratio is 1:2. You will be working with children with autistic spectrum conditions offering a flexible programme of art, craft, games & cooking as well as sensory and outdoor play under the supervision of the Club Supervisor/Co-ordinator.

Training:

In house training. For the right candidate that continues with the organisation, there could be the opportunity for relevant qualifications. Equivalent to one day a week.

Qualifications:

Experience of working with children and an understanding of autistic spectrum conditions desirable. Experience of working with children and an understanding of autistic spectrum conditions desirable.
