Theatre Support Worker

£17,460 to £18,702 per annum.

37.5 hours per week.

Job Description:

You will be providing a support service to the Theatre department. As a valid member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the care of our patients from the moment that they arrive in the theatre department until they are ready to return to the ward. You will assist in the preparation of the operating theatres prior to surgery and support the qualified staff during procedures.

Training:

In house training. The opportunity for further development for the successful candidate. Equivalent to one day a week.

Qualifications:

No formal qualifications are required but you should have a basic understanding of work carried out in the Operating Theatre (look on their website) and a commitment to ongoing learning. In addition to this you should have good communication and keyboard skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You must also be able to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative and have a flexible approach to working hours.
