Starting at £14,305 per annum with increments based on performance and completion of the apprenticeship. This rises mid-way through the apprenticeship based on performance, and again on completion of the apprenticeship to circa £18,900.

Job Description:

You will be working for a major publishing company. They have an exciting opportunity to join their busy Management Accounts team in Cambridge. You will be supporting a number of processes and as such will be gaining valuable experience across a range of Finance activities. The role of the team is to account for all the companies that they have in their Finance systems. The majority of their deadlines are monthly - with the main deadline being the submission of their month-end results. The main responsibilities centre on verifying and coding production invoices, supporting the cashiers in dealing with incoming receipts, reconciling accounts and posting adjustments onto systems as necessary. This is a great opportunity to join a busy Finance department and there is scope for this role to change and develop. You will work towards gaining Business and Administration Level 3 through work based learning. An internal refresher course for Excel skills will be provided, if required.

Training:

In-house training. The post holder will work towards gaining Business and Administration Level 3 through work based learning. An internal refresher course for Excel skills will be provided, if required. Equivalent to one day a week.

Qualifications:

You must be educated to A Level or equivalent and you will have GCSE level Maths and English. You will be interested in working in Accounts/Finance and you are committed to ongoing personal development. You will be able to manage your own workload and have a good attention to detail. You will need to be a team player with a flexible approach. A basic level knowledge of Excel is an advantage. You will be able to relate to their six behaviours that play a fundamental part in the culture here at the organisation.
