Job Description:

Working for a local animal shelter, you will be in the small pets and residents department as an Animal Rehomer. You will feed, water and groom the animals, ensuring excellent standards of care and best practice training. Your duties will include helping to provide and maintain a good reception service and to deal with members of the public regarding enquiries and aspects of animal welfare.

Training:

In house training.

Qualifications:

You must be educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths Grade 9 - 4 and above AND/OR equivalent AND/OR sound application of language and numerical skills. This position is physically demanding and it is important that you can work as part of a team. An interest in animal welfare is required; however, it is not necessary for candidates to have worked with animals previously, as training will be provided. This position involves working directly with the Resident animals outdoors, all Small Pet species and in our reception on a three week rota. Therefore, good basic administration and customer service skills are required alongside a love of working outdoors.
