Job Description:

This company is a family run business that has been established for over 50 years. They manufacture bespoke timber engineered products including Doorsets, Roof Trusses, Stairs and Engineered Joists, using the latest CNC machinery, supplying customers throughout the UK on construction projects both small and large. They are currently looking for a bright and enthusiastic candidate to fill the position of Office Support Technician within the Doorset Department. Your initial responsibility will be producing 2D CAD drawings for CNC programming and verifying the accuracy of these programmes through trial CNC machining. You will become involved in the production of the CNC Machine Code through the VB Macros they write in house to produce the NC code. This is an evolutionary process that is constantly changing through the bespoke nature of their work with the changing requirements of their customers and their desire to continuously improve the way they work. Other duties will include computer/network support and other day-to-day tasks as required. Responsibilities and Duties: Produce simple 2D CAD drawings, Check machined samples for accuracy, Liaising with CNC Operators, Troubleshoot issues with internally written Excel spreadsheets and Assist with general PC hardware/software, printer and network infrastructure support.

Training:

In house training.

Qualifications:

No formal qualifications required by the employer but you should have experience of Microsoft Windows 7 & 10. You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook is essential. A basic knowledge of Visual Basic would be an advantage but not essential (training can be given). You should have a basic knowledge of CAD or CAD/CAM Software. You will have a good communication skills. You should be self-driven, honest and reliable with an eye for detail and practical approach. You will be able to work well within a team in the office.

Additional Information:
