Day Care Assistants - CHSHI429425






£8.84(rising to £9.25 per hour with HSC Level 2 Diploma).


Part time permanent.


17+, under the Care Standards Act 2000, as they will be providing personal care.

Job Description:

Your duties will include helping elderly, infirm or physically disabled residents stay as independent as possible. As well as helping with bathing, dressing and other physical needs, you give companionship, comfort and dignity.


In house training. Common Induction Standards and NVQ training can be undertaken. Equivalent to one day a week training.


You should have NVQ Level 2 in Care, or an ability to attain the qualification and a good understanding of the needs of older people. You should have good communication skills with a range of individuals, have a good understanding of the importance of good customer care and good team working skills. You should also have a caring and empathetic nature.

Benefits include: Recruitment and retention payment of£150 after completion of 6 months' successful probationary period and £100 on completion of a further 6 months' continuous service. 28 increasing to 33 days inclusive of Bank Holidays, depending on length of service.
