Cherry Tree cares for up to 30 patients with Ortho- Geriatric and medical needs, including those with Parkinson's and Dementia. Our fractured neck of femur patients will require pre and post-operative care on Cherry Tree as part of the pathway. Caring for patients and providing a first class service to their patients is something you value highly. Above all, you love working with people and want to make a personal difference to peoples' lives going the extra mile when it is needed. Helping the registered nurses plan and deliver care; a large part of your work is giving 'up close and personal care'. This often means very 'up close' and very 'personal'. You'll also monitor patients' conditions and pain control, take and record vital signs, and ensure your patients' needs are met. A lot of the work is physically and mentally demanding and it doesn't suit everyone. You will be working with very sick patients who may be confused and can show challenging behaviour at times.
