Aimee moving up!

Whatever your passion, your skill or your interest, if you want to show it off in front of a live audience, Young Cambridgeshire’s Got Talent is for you!!

Aimee Peart-Webb from March, did just that and is now on her way to international stardom!

Aimee entered the Cambridgeshire County Council funded Young Cambridgeshire’s Got Talent competition and went on to win both the East Cambs & Fenland Area Heat and the County Final in early 2010.

Young Lives introduced Aimee to 'Bling A Ting', a talent contest organised by Cambridge City Council, where Aimee won her category and secured a place at the semi-final of UK Unsigned and the chance to win the top prize of a recording contract!

On Sunday 6 June 2010, Aimee attended the semi finals of UK Unsigned which brings together the winners from all heats across the country.

Aimee said" There were 25 acts in my category and I was listening to them and they were amazing! I was thinking my god, what am I doing here. Well I've been picked as one of the top three acts to go to the final!"

Aimee is now one of the three top teen singers in the UK and will perform at the Final of UK Unsigned (whose previous winners include Leona Lewis; Katie Melua and N Dubz) later in the year.

An excited Aimee said " ! feel so lucky! Just thought I'd let ya know because it's all due to Young Lives that I have this opportunity. Thank you so much!"

YCGT is open to any young person aged 11-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) living in Cambridgeshire.
